- Orthopaedic Surgery
Ryan is a graduate of Auckland University, and started his training in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2006. He gained his fellowship in 2009 and then sub-specialised in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, initially in Auckland for six months completing the Adidas Sports fellowship (2010), and then a further six months in Western Australia completing the Perth Orthopaedic Sports Medicine fellowship (2010). He then travelled to London Ontario, Canada where he completed a further year of sub-specialty training in Spinal Surgery (2012).
Ryan has been working as a full-time Orthopaedic Consultant at Hutt Hospital since July 2012. He is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Otago Medical School (Wellington). He is happy to see patients with any Orthopaedic problem and his main areas of interest are Sports Orthopaedics, Spinal Surgery and Hip and Knee joint replacement surgery.
