Your care journey at Boulcott Specialist Centre.

1. Referral from your GP or Health Professional

Your GP (or another medical professional such as a physiotherapist) will send us a referral on your behalf.

Please note: Some surgeons may accept self-referrals (e.g. cosmetic plastic surgery). If you do not have a GP referral, please email us to confirm whether one is required.

2. Referral received and triaged

Once we receive your referral, your specialist will review and triage it. You’ll receive an email confirming that your referral has been successfully received.

3. Appointment scheduling

Depending on the waiting list, the specialist’s administrator will contact you to offer an appointment when one becomes available.

4. Your first Specialist appointment

You’ll meet with your specialist at Boulcott Specialist Centre or at their own private consulting practice rooms. During this visit, they may order tests and schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss results and next steps.

5. Surgical planning (if required)

If surgery is recommended as part of your treatment plan, our surgical admissions team will book your surgery date and work closely with you to ensure you’re fully prepared.

6. Follow-up care

After surgery or treatment, you’ll have follow-up appointments with either the practice nurse, your surgeon, or both, to monitor your recovery.

7. Ongoing support

Our administrators will remain your main point of contact for all clinic appointments and follow-ups at Boulcott Specialist Centre until you are discharged from your specialist’s care.
