On Sunday 28 April at Wellington’s Hataitai Park, people will take to their feet to help raise funds for orthopaedic research – why not join them! The Walk for Wishbone is run by the Wishbone Orthopaedic Research Foundation, part of the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association.
Your support will help fund vital research into improving surgery and treatment for joint replacements reducing pain, broken bones, bone infections and cancers, congenital disorders and sports injuries.
Take part in a fun event where you will meet positive people who want to help fund vital research into improving orthopaedic surgery and treatment in New Zealand.
1km walk – on even ground around the outside of the velodrome two or three times, depending on how you feel!
5km walk – cruise with friends or power walk on a beautiful 2.5 km course on well-established tracks through iconic bush. With stunning views over the outer harbour and the western hills. You can go around once or twice.
Registration – 1-2pm Marist St Pats club rooms, Wellington velodrome, Hataitai Park. Walks start – 2pm
The event finishes at the club rooms for talks, spot prizes and refreshments.
